As a newcomer to OneStream Software and its vibrant community, attending my first OneStream Splash has been nothing short of exhilarating. After spending 17 years at SAP, where I led various initiatives in Planning and Analysis, I’ve found myself on an exciting new journey with OneStream. This event has solidified my confidence in OneStream’s groundbreaking platform and its potential to revolutionize financial operations for enterprises around the globe.
From the moment I arrived, it was clear that OneStream Splash was designed with customer experience at its core. With 3,000 attendees, including customers, partners, and employees, the energy and enthusiasm were palpable. The event kicked off with an inspiring Vision keynote from OneStream CEO Tom Shea, setting the stage for a week filled with insightful sessions and exciting announcements.
One of the highlights for me was the opportunity to interact with our customers and hear firsthand how OneStream is driving their financial transformations. Customers like MP Materials shared their journey from SAP Group Reporting to OneStream, emphasizing how our platform delivered real-time integration with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud—a feat SAP Group Reporting couldn't achieve even after two years of implementation. This was a classic example of a OneStream win over SAP, showcasing our platform's superiority in delivering live, integrated solutions.
OneStream unveiled several groundbreaking innovations at the event. The Enterprise Finance AI leverages AI to enhance decision-making, automate workflows, and boost forecasting accuracy, addressing common barriers like transparency and cost.
Dynamic Cube Services allow finance teams to integrate internal and external data for agile financial analytics without loading data, adapting automatically to deliver transparent, governed insights. The Modern Browser Experience streamlines user access via browsers like MS Edge, Chrome, or Safari, offering tailored insights and data visualizations across devices. OneStream Genesis provides a no-code framework enabling power users to quickly personalize and deploy solutions across planning, financial close, reporting, and administration. The Microsoft Power BI Connector seamlessly integrates OneStream with Power BI, maintaining data security and consistency for enhanced reporting and analysis. Lastly, CPM Express simplifies financial close, consolidations, budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, and reporting with quick deployment and ease of use for organizations with straightforward needs.
Attending various customer presentations was incredibly rewarding. Sessions like Ally Financial's journey from SAP BCS to OneStream showcased significant improvements in system availability and user experience. Phillips 66’s transformation included leaving SAP BPC for OneStream to deploy global capex planning and rolling forecasts, while LivaNova Medical Devices shared how they enhanced forecasting and reporting down to the product and country level by replacing SAP BPC with OneStream.
This year’s OneStream Splash was not just an event; it was a testament to thetransformative power of our platform and the community that supports it. The enthusiasm and satisfaction of our customers underscore the value OneStream brings to their financial operations. As I continue my journey with OneStream, I’m more excited than ever about the future and the endless possibilities our platform offers.
