And……. We’re off. Kicking off another OneStream Splash – EMEA keynote in beautiful Copenhagen. Home of one of the world's most sustainable cities. And for this week, home to about one-thousand customers, prospects and partners share insights, discover new innovations, and celebrate what it means to Take Finance Further.
The Operating System for Modern Finance
After a warm welcome from EVP EMEA Matt Rodgers, OneStream CEO Tom Shea took the stage for our vision keynote and reinforced the massive innovation OneStream is delivering as the operating system for modern finance that unifies financial and operational data, embeds AI for better decisions and productivity, and empowers the CFO to become a critical driver of business strategy and execution.
OneStream Splash Key Themes – And Plenty of Innovations
During his keynote, Tom showcased a series of highly targeted innovations focused on making all aspects of planning, financial close and reporting processes faster, easier to use, more personalized – and power it all with AI (see Figure 1).

Here are just a few key highlights:
Uniquely Unify Finance to Do More in the Core
As many know, OneStream’s one-of-a-kind Digital Finance Cloud and data model helps customers manage all your data, financial close, planning, account reconciliations (and more) on a single platform. For those rethinking your finance transformation, we strongly encourage you to consider the amazing impact (see Figure 2) that is just not possible to achieve without doing the hard work to uniquely unifying your finance teams and processes.
As Tom says, “It’s critical to do more in the core so you can do more.”

During his keynote, Tom noted how customers such as Nutreco uniquely unify their management reporting and bringing 17, YES 17, critical processes together that now includes reporting for financials, capital, supply chain, ESG, tax, and more.
Not only a great example of “doing more in the core” but also of how customers are generating massive increases in efficiency, effectiveness, and business value that’s possible with OneStream.
Tom also unveiled two new core finance innovations and showcased several innovations (see Figure 3) announced earlier this year to streamline the navigation and delivery of financial and operating reporting.
- OneStream Navigation Center helps your finance teams easily organize and access all standard and user-defined reports, enable tagging and bookmarking, set due dates and secure reports to centralize, streamline, and enhance reporting for all users.
- New Microsoft Excel Enhancements seamlessly integrate the control of OneStream with the flexibility of Excel for enhanced end-user productivity to perform comprehensive workflows and financial analysis across planning, financial analysis, and reporting workflows.

Infinitely Extensible Platform Powers Finance-led Ops
Finance teams are under more pressure than ever before. New acquisitions. Divestitures. Ever-evolving regulatory requirements. Geopolitics and supply chain uncertainty. The list goes on.
Indeed, the need for Finance teams to remain agile and nimble IS the new normal!
Not only do Finance teams need to keep up with all the change – Finance teams more and more are expected to help steer the business, provide strategic council, and drive operational execution. I often say, “If your Finance team is only focused on basic reporting or planning, you are only doing half the job.”
Iconic Finance teams just think differently. And they certainly don’t settle for anything.
Why does this all matter? Because if your Finance team needs to adopt new tools every single time you need to address new business needs, you are just going to get stuck (see Figure 4).
Figure 4 – Navigating Multiple Tools Across Finance
OneStream’s infinitely extensible platform enables Finance teams to create and deploy over 100 purpose-built financial and operational solutions such as demand forecasting, workforce planning, capital planning, account reconciliations, and more.
To share more, OneStream President (and Chief Customer Evangelist) joined the keynote to discuss recent innovations for Sales Performance Management, which is a great way for FP&A teams to unify granular sales plans and territory management with financial goals. What’s more, InfinitySPM’s solution was built entirely on the OneStream platform (see Figure 5).

ESG Metrics are Starting to Drive Corporate Plans
Another key topic, especially here in Copenhagen, is about how Finance teams are preparing for evolving Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) requirements and using ESG targets as a catalyst to drive corporate-wide business plans.
Craig shared insights on OneStream’s product vision for ESG which is to deliver a uniquely unified ESG reporting and planning solution that is always aligned to your trusted financial data.
Specifically, Craig noted our plans for continued investment in our solution and ecosystem with an end-to-end solution for ESG collection, consolidation, and planning with support for frameworks, Factors, and Scope 3 (see figure 5).

Enterprise Finance AI Increases Speed, Trust and Transparency
To close out the vision keynote, Craig welcomed CEO Tom Shea back to the stage to discuss our vision for what we call Enterprise Finance AI.
Tom shared his experiences in speaking with executives, customers and investors about the promise and potential of AI to “Transform how the Office of the CFO to help steer the business. ”Despite the excitement, Tom noted that many CFOs are also aware of the hazards and false promises that came along with AI.
That many CFOs have invested a lot in the first wave of AI tools, had to hire expensive data scientists and developed processes that lacked context or understanding of their business.
The excitement. The pent-up demand. All to be met with the questions on how to gain business value. It all builds to what Tom noted as “The AI paradox.”
Solving for this is at the heart of our investment to help Finance teams take finance further. With applied AI solutions based on known data you can trust, embedded with financial intelligence and context of your business, and purpose-built to address specific financial and operational decisions that you need to run and improve and transform your business.
The Power of AI. Purpose-Built for Finance.
At Splash, Tom dove deep into our Sensible AI product portfolio. We also had the honor to welcome and showcase how our customer ICA is driving innovation across their retail network with ML-enabled forecasting across their Finance team.
We also announced the limited availability our Anomaly Detection capabilities from the Sensible AI Library which scans thousands of transactions to detect unusual patterns or outliers to enable finance teams to quickly investigate and correct issues before the final financial close.
Finally, Tom highlighted several recent innovations (see Figure 6) including our Sensible ML Scenario Modeling capability to provide Finance teams with flexible “what if” capabilities to understand how changes to external factors such as GDP, interest gas prices or new product innovations impact key business forecasts.
